Jana Stross (Rašková), nee Velecká - photographer and nurse ...
...was born in 1973 in Ostrava into a family of teachers, a family with a rich artistic life, mainly art, music and dance. Despite all the efforts of those closest to her, she decided not to continue the family tradition of cantors and graduated as a nurse at the Secondary Medical School in Nový Jičín. She fell into photography only in 2006, when she got her hands on a small Panasonic compact camera. As she has a positive relationship with technical things, she began to examine it in detail and discovered that a photo is not just a printed rectangle measuring 13x18 cm, but that it is an amazing medium with an endless range of creative possibilities...
2022 - became a member of the "Club of Moravian Photographers, z.s. Brno" (hereinafter referred to as CMP) link
2015 - she founded the Facebook group "Foto - Líšeň" link and a year later the registered association of the same name Foto - Líšeň, z.s. of which she is the chairperson
2009 - co-founded the photography group "28mm" link
Since 2009, she has completed the photography workshops of Antonín Kratochvíl (Under the surface and Edit), Jan Pohribný (Light in the landscape), Jiří Turek (Portrait, fashion, nude) and Jan Šibík (Take photos with a mobile phone)
